SAN FRANCISCO HOTEL REVIEW:
The Marriott SF is a hotel you can only hope to endure if you are attending a convention at nearby Moscone center. It is a tenement of a building, with as many hotel rooms as can fit a block-like structure extending to their penthouse lookout bar (which I missed - what energy I had was used in hiking to my room). Nothing is visibly wrong with this hotel, it's just a bit impersonal and machine-like in its attendance of corporate housing needs.
We love fast and hot, blurred and intemperate. We love dub in the street, gelato in North Beach, sparkling Mumm rosé on a gorgeous afternoon. We love Soba, Noba, coffee at the Ferry Building, and morning pastries at Tartine. A city to drive it like you stole it, wear it like you made it, DJ til you're famous, and start a corporation - while the East Bay sleeps.
