NEW YORK HOTEL REVIEW:
With so many choices for hotels in New York, it was maybe our 20th trip that landed us at the Helmsley Park Lane. It's a beautiful old building on Park Avenue South that fits neatly against the Plaza, but with its own charm and odd bit of pomp. We appreciated the dark oak bar and views of the park, but decided that this hotel was more location than glamour.
Rushing through the city, champagne on your tongue, rock'n'roll at your feet. Slurring through downtown speakeasies, raucous warehouses, and bold, swanky, rooftops. Breathless conversation, skylines for days, and city views that skip a beat. They call it New York, but we say it's drop dead.
