NEW YORK HOTEL REVIEW:
We checked into the Element Times Square during its first week of occupancy, timed meaningfully during a massive storm. As part of Starwood, the Element is a 'vision of the Westin' that is hyper-conscientiously green, LEED certified, and so minimalist in its conservation that it was almost medical. We were impressed by the breezy cleanliness of the room and lobby and the extremely reasonable rates, but weren't as thrilled about the location near the hectic Port Authority.
Rushing through the city, champagne on your tongue, rock'n'roll at your feet. Slurring through downtown speakeasies, raucous warehouses, and bold, swanky, rooftops. Breathless conversation, skylines for days, and city views that skip a beat. They call it New York, but we say it's drop dead.
