NEW YORK HOTEL REVIEW:
Deeply ambitious for its neighborhood, the Cooper Square Hotel sputters out of a corner on 3rd Avenue at 6th St like a stack of glass Post-Its waiting for reminders. A walk through the glass lobby and first floor library and you're struck by how restrained it is, as though sheer design integrity can hold back the effluvia of street traffic, rowdy drinking joints, and poor decision-making.
Rushing through the city, champagne on your tongue, rock'n'roll at your feet. Slurring through downtown speakeasies, raucous warehouses, and bold, swanky, rooftops. Breathless conversation, skylines for days, and city views that skip a beat. They call it New York, but we say it's drop dead.
