NEW YORK HOTEL REVIEW:
Raucous as the Lower East Side 150 years ago (deep Gangs of New York, pre-tenement reform) the Bowery Hotel has all the vestiges of a good night of forgetting. We love the old-school decor pulled from photos by Jacob Riis (perhaps salvaged from like situations?), and the setting for a good sloshing of rock'n'roll.
Rushing through the city, champagne on your tongue, rock'n'roll at your feet. Slurring through downtown speakeasies, raucous warehouses, and bold, swanky, rooftops. Breathless conversation, skylines for days, and city views that skip a beat. They call it New York, but we say it's drop dead.
