NEW YORK HOTEL REVIEW:
We rushed into the Andaz for an early evening drink on a weekday in February. Our first Andaz outside of California, we were curious how the sleek steel design would find its way in Manhattan. It's decidedly darker, rustic, and more library study than indoor/outdoor patio.
The basement bar at Andaz 5th is a mixologist's laboratory, with fresh fruit and vegetables as abundant as in a restaurant kitchen.
A Mixologist Hard At Work:
Rushing through the city, champagne on your tongue, rock'n'roll at your feet. Slurring through downtown speakeasies, raucous warehouses, and bold, swanky, rooftops. Breathless conversation, skylines for days, and city views that skip a beat. They call it New York, but we say it's drop dead.
